So teefury has partnered up with winchesterbroscom to offer a limited timed-release of Supernatural-inspired goodness. The Tales from the Kripke variant of my LARP Queen design has never been printed anywhere and is only available for a limited time (Link)
I love peppering designs with little easter eggs. If you’re wondering what the idea is behind some of them are, here’s a little run-down. Some are obvious, others are a little more subtle:
(Eric) Kripke is the creator/writer of Supernatural;
The month & issue number is the year Mary Winchester was killed by a demon which set everything into motion;
The design is based on the episode “LARP & the Real Girl” featuring Felicia Day as the Red Queen of Moondoor, and behind her, Gilda the fairy/demon who is summoned to kill LARPers.
The overall design is a parody of a classic 50s horror comic Tales from the Crypt.
The names credited under the price (J. Szwarc & R. Thompson) are references to the director and writer of “LARP & the Real Girl”
